Rebecca grew up in northern Indiana as the oldest daughter of Taiwanese immigrants.
She writes creative nonfiction and short stories and performs standup comedy. Rebecca previously shared stories of Asian American creatives and entrepreneurs to humanize us and remember joy at the height of Asian hate crimes during COVID.
Rebecca has studied and worked in Beijing, Singapore, and Taipei and holds degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania. Her work has been supported by the McCormack Writing Center (formerly Tin House), the Writer’s Grotto, and the Taiwanese American Foundation.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys draining threes on the basketball court, cheering on the Golden State Valkyries, (re)watching Mindy Kaling shows, and sitting in the sun.
